Sat mar 28 2020 9 40 am. New to the forum but have had my car since may 2008. Front door lock jammed. One day out of the blue the front passenger side door didn t unlock while attempting to use the keyless entry.

I physically attempted to move the lever over inside the car and it still won t open. My front door wouldn t unlock the other day. Tried physically moving the latch and then trying to open from outside. It could be that the external section of the lock is frozen up which prevents you from even gaining access to the keyway.

I could turn the key and the latch would move but would not withdraw fully. Peace of mind starting at 15 per month. 1 series 2 series. Its an ordinary mortice lock i think thats what its called it isn t a yale lock and something keeps stopping the key from turning to unlock the door from the inside but it seems to be fine if unlocked from the other side.
